Message If you want economical, reliable, powerful, and bring the weight down, an LS1 would make much more sense than a 4-banger.

Personally I would not have a problum with a GM engine in a Z. If it does the job then it is fine with me.

:you could use a I4 2.0? I don't think I would put a KA in a Z32 either. I have seen the RB20 used in S13's and only mentioned it to rule it out. My whole intent in this post was just to get useful input on the feesibility of a stout torquey 4cyl in a Z32. I have been reading a lot of posts about VG's going T.U. so I wondered what economical alternatives may be out there. My S14 with only bolt ons including intake, Greddy header and Apexi 3" full exhaust has beat more than one N/A z32. Therefore I figured a KA-T in a 300zx would be a good choice. It would bring overall weight down be more powerful and more reliable (IMO) than a VG30DE.
:I have looked into the VH45 and found that there is very little aftermarket support for that engine. And good luck getting an adapter plate for your 300zx tranny to work with it.
:I am a Nissan and Pontiac fan but I would NEVER put a GM engine in a Nissan or vice versa.
:Some of you have heard one bad thing about an engine and decided that it is either the be all end all or the ulimate shit box. I try to go from my own experiences and keep an open mind to what can be done with the most beautiful car ever built (Z32). It is now my experience that there are a bunch of closed minded people on this forum that have no information that is useful to anyone so they resort to taunting an being disrespectful of others. Sadly I think my inquiry would have been better received by a bunch of Mustang driving inbreds than the majority of those on this site.
:All the members of TT.net share one thing in common. Why not try to make the experiences of our fellow enthusiasts positive and educational for "noobs" and veterans alike?
